Moroccan Mint Tea

Description

A sweet and refreshing mint tea traditionally served with hospitality in Morocco.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp loose green tea leaves (gunpowder tea)
  • 1 large bunch fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 4 cups water
  • 3-4 tbsp sugar, or to taste

Instructions

    Bring water to a boil in a teapot or saucepan.

    Add green tea leaves and boil for 1 minute.

    Add fresh mint leaves and sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar.

    Remove from heat and let steep for 3 minutes.

    Strain into small tea glasses from a height to create foam.

    Garnish with additional mint leaves.

    Serve hot.
