Grilled Fish with Chermoula

Description

Fish marinated in a flavorful North African sauce and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (such as tilapia or sea bass)
  • For the chermoula sauce:
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

    In a food processor, combine all chermoula ingredients except olive oil. Pulse until finely chopped.

    With the processor running, slowly add olive oil until a paste forms.

    Pat fish fillets dry and place in a shallow dish.

    Spread half of the chermoula sauce over the fish, turning to coat both sides.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.

    Preheat grill or broiler to medium-high heat.

    Grill or broil fish for 3-4 minutes per side until cooked through and flakes easily.

    Serve with remaining chermoula sauce and lemon wedges.
