Description

A hearty Turkish red lentil soup that's nutritious and filling, perfect for breaking the fast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils, washed and drained
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 potato, diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 6 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a pot, add onions and sauté until translucent.

    Add carrots and potatoes, cook for 5 minutes.
