Labneh with Za'atar

Description

Creamy strained yogurt topped with za'atar spice blend, perfect for Suhoor with bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp za'atar spice blend
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Pita bread or vegetables for serving

Instructions

    Mix yogurt with salt in a bowl.

    Line a strainer with cheesecloth and place over a bowl.

    Pour the yogurt mixture into the cheesecloth.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight to strain.

    Transfer the thickened labneh to a serving plate.

    Create a well in the center and fill with olive oil.

    Sprinkle za'atar over the top.
