Description
Creamy strained yogurt topped with za'atar spice blend, perfect for Suhoor with bread.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp za'atar spice blend
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Pita bread or vegetables for serving
Instructions
- 1Mix yogurt with salt in a bowl.
- 2Line a strainer with cheesecloth and place over a bowl.
- 3Pour the yogurt mixture into the cheesecloth.
- 4Cover and refrigerate overnight to strain.
- 5Transfer the thickened labneh to a serving plate.
- 6Create a well in the center and fill with olive oil.
- 7Sprinkle za'atar over the top.
- 8Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- 9Serve with warm pita bread or fresh vegetables.
